Comics from the underground scene. This spring, Robert Crumb is to be the subject of an exhibition at the Museum of Modern Art in the city of Paris.Robert Crumb is one of the few artists who shaped the way of seeing for several generations of artists. A founding author of underground comix publications in 1967, an iconic reference of underground American culture, popularized in France by Actuel (which he did a number of covers for). Robert Crumb continued to influence the world of comic books through the many journals he published, up until his impressive version of Genesis, published in 2009. His characters such as Fritz the Cat, Mr. Natural are well known, but it was above all himself that he drew, staged in an endless introspection. His vision of America, of society, couples, his love of women and 20s music: these are some of the many themes in his drawings.
